Professor Dennis Roscoe is an astronomer, astrophotagrapher and a NASA Solar System Ambassador. He is a guest lecturer at Carroll University, teaches astronomy classes at the New Berlin Parks and Rec. Dept. and gives presentations statewide. For the last 11 years, he has developed a passion for astrophotography and currently owns and operates his own personal observatory. He specializes in the imaging of deep space objects such as nebulae and in May 2014 his images were published in TIME.com.
Dr. Roscoe will be discussing the Fermi Paradox, the apparent contradiction between the lack of evidence for aliens and the high probability estimates for the existence of extraterrestrial civilizations.
